E Shram Card 2024 New Update :- Ministry of Labor and Employment launched National Database e-Shram Portal for unorganized sector workers in the year 2021. This portal has been launched to benefit all workers in the unorganized sector including migrant workers and domestic workers.
Any person working in the unorganized sector can apply for E-Shram Card or Shramik Card. Workers working in these sectors can get many benefits through e-Shram Card.
With the help of this portal, a database of unorganized workers working in the States/Union Territories is to be prepared. Under this, any domestic worker or worker in the unorganized sector can register himself. e-Shram Portal facilitates registration under 30 broad business sectors and around 400 businesses.

E-Shram Card 2024
Any person working in the unorganized sector can apply for a Shramik Card or an E-Shram Card. Under this, workers in the unorganized sector can get benefits like pension after 60 years, death insurance, and financial assistance in case of disability. Under this, beneficiaries will get a 12-digit UAN number valid across India.
Let us tell you that the Ministry of Labor and Employment has developed e-Shram portal to create National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which is being linked to Aadhaar. It is the first National Database of unorganized workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers etc.
E Shram Card 2024 : Benefits
- Under this, there is a provision of pension of Rs 3,000 per month to people working in the unorganized sector after the age of 60 years.
- Under this, there is a provision of death insurance of Rs 2,00,000 and financial assistance of Rs 1,00,000 in case of partial disability of the worker.
- If any beneficiary (unorganized sector workers having e-Shram card) dies in an accident, all benefits will be provided to his/her spouse.

How to Register an E Shram Card 2024?
Registration on the Eshram portal can be done through self-registration as well as assisted mode.
For self-registration, you can use the eSHRAM Portal and the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) Mobile App. For assisted mode registration, you can visit the Common Service Center (CSC) and State Service Center (SSK).
